Mangaluru: Two gangs engaged in a public brawl in Katipalla’s Ganeshpura Circle over a car and bike collision on Wednesday, February 8. Both have filed complaints to the Surathkal police station.
According to the FIR, Complainant Nagesh Devadiga (45), claimed that traveling to Mangalapete on his bike. When he arrived at Ganeshpura Circle, a negligent car driver hit the bike. Due to the accident, Nagesh Devadiga fell on the road.
Adil Meharoof, the car’s driver, beat up complainant Nagesh Devadiga, along with his father Ummer Farukh, uncle Abdul Hamid, and father-in-law Ummer Faruk. They also threatened to kill him.
Adil Meharoof, the car’s driver and a resident of Mangalapete, claimed in a countercomplaint that when he was traveling from Katipalla to Ullal, bike rider Nagesh Devadiga purposefully collided with his car and fell to the ground.
Preetham Shetty, Akash, and an unnamed suspect attacked Adil while claiming that he drives recklessly all the time. Adil and his father Ummer Farukh have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
