Uppinangady: A teenager who had been seriously injured in a two-wheeler accident at Shivagiri in Kalleri here died at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The deceased has been identified as Abubakar Siddique (16), son of Ibrahim Yane Abbonu, a resident of Kuppetti
Siddique was on his way from Karaya towards Kuppetti on a two-wheeler with his friend Muhammad Khalil, when the accident took place. The two-wheeler rammed the back of a good rickshaw near Shivagiri and both riders suffered grievous injuries.
Siddique breathed his last on Thursday night without responding to treatment, while Khalil is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
