Amit Shah arrives in Mangaluru, attends BJP committee meeting

Mangaluru: Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived on February 11 in the city from Puttur, was enthusiastically welcomed by party cadres at Kenjar in Mangaluru.

Upon his arrival, Amit Shah held a road show. He was taken in a procession in an open vehicle from the airport departure point to Sridevi College where the meeting is taking place.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, BJP leader and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, and BJP’s Karnataka state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, among others accompanied him in the open vehicle.

Amit Shah also chaired a meeting of BJP’s committee of the Shivamogga-Mangaluru divisions.

Speaking to reporters after the conclusion of the meeting minister V Sunil Kumar said that Amit Shah asked the party workers to start poll preparations. Shah has implicitly given the formula for winning 33 constituencies in six districts of two divisions, he added.

Earlier, the  Union Home Minister attended the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of CAMPCO in Puttur. He laid the foundation stone for a one-of-a-kind cooperative-based “Agri Mall” of CAMPCO and also digitally inaugurated the coconut processing plant (coconut oil Kalpa) at the chocolate factory premises in Puttur and the godown at Bhadravathi.
