Mangaluru: 19-year-old girl missing, police seek public’s help

Mangaluru: A 19-year-old student of a private college in the city has gone missing.

The missing person, identified as Varshita Flora (19),  is pursuing her BA degree at a private college in the city. According to the complaint filed, she left home on February 16 at 7 am to attend the sports day at the college. Later in the afternoon, Varshita reportedly told her mother over the phone that she will not be coming home.

Thereafter her mobile phone was switched off. A complaint was registered at the Kankanady police station.

According to the complaint, Varshita had been living in the city for the past 15 years, after relocating from Mysuru.

According to police, she is of fair complexion, 5.4 feet tall with a round face, medium build, and long black hair. When last seen she was wearing black pants, a brown and white striped t-shirt. She speaks Kannada, English, Hindi, and Konkani. Anyone with information should contact the Kankanadi Nagar police station, police said.
