Gold worth Rs 91.35 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru: Customs Officers at Mangaluru International Airport seized gold weighing 1 kg 625 grams worth Rs 91,35, 850 from 5 male passengers from February 1-15 this year.
The passengers arriving from Dubai and Bahrain attempted to smuggle gold through different modus operandi such as concealment in the beading of a trolley bag, in rectum, etc.
Also, Foreign currency notes valued at Rs 6.54 lakh have been seized from a passenger at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA),
