Ullal: A woman’s decomposed body was found at her residence in Deradka near Harekala.
The deceased has been identified as Maggi Monteiro (62).
The matter came to light when her daughter came to visit her after failing to reach her over the phone. She had last seen her mother on February 16.
The mortal remains were found near the kitchen stove.
According to sources, Maggi lived alone at the house in the solitary house on a 3-acre plot. She lived a recluse life and did not speak to locals.
Konaje Police visited the scene and have taken up an investigation. It is suspected that she might have died of injuries suffered after fainting due to uneasiness.
