Kundapura: Tipper lorry crashes into Dhaba, customer seriously injured

Kundapura: A tipper lorry crashed into a roadside dhaba at Mavinakatte here on Monday, seriously injuring a customer at the Dhaba.

The tipper loaded with soil was moving towards Gulwadi from Kundapur at the time of the incident. The man behind the wheel lost control and plowed into the dhaba owned by Muhammed Haneef near Mavinakatte circle.

Hanieed and his son Nizamuddin who were at the Dhaba luckily escaped unhurt, whereas a customer, identified as Abiddin, was seriously injured.

The eatery suffered a financial loss of about Rs 3 lakh due to the accident.

Locals alleged that the lorry driver’s rash and negligent driving led to the accident. A complaint has been registered at the Kundapura Rural Police Station.
