Puttur: 54-year-old man killed in road mishap

Puttur: A 54-year-old man was killed after a Bolero overturned and fell on his two wheeler at Odla in Kemmara on Monday, February 20.

The deceased has been identified as Koragappa Gowda (58), a resident of Kadembyalu in Koila village. The incident took place on the Halegate-Mardhala state highway. The Bolero pick-up driven by

Krishnappa Naika who was driving the Bolero drove the vehicle on the wrong side at Odla and applied brakes suddenly. As a result the Bolero overturned and fell on Koragappa’s bike.

Due to the impact of the accident Koragappa and his bike were thrown onto the road.

Koragappa who was seriously injured was admitted to Puttur government hospital but he succumbed a little while later.

A case in this connection is registered in Puttur traffic police station.
