Maha: Man’s body found in lake in Thane district

The body of an unidentified man was found in a lake near the central jail in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Monday, a civic official said.
The body of a man in his 40s was found floating in the lake around 8 am and the local fire station was alerted, said Avinash Sawant, the chief of the regional disaster management cell.
The body has been sent to the Thane civil hospital for post-mortem, he said, adding that the police have registered a case of accidental death.
