Hubballi: The report of the 7th pay commission is being prepared and the finances required for it have been set aside. Once the report is ready, it will be implemented, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday.
Speaking to the reporters here, Bommai said that finances have been allocated for the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission report and it will be implemented in 2023-24.
Speaking about the call for an indefinite strike by the state government employees’ union, the CM said, negotiations with the office bearers of the employees’ union are ongoing. The government is ready to fulfill the legitimate demands of the employees.
Commenting on the Congress’ criticism, Bommai said that Congress leaders are frustrated by the frequent visits of BJP national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is inappropriate for Siddaramaiah, who himself has been a chief minister, to talk lightly about the Prime Minister and Home Minister and call them ‘election agents’
Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi are visiting the state. So are they too election agents, the CM asked.
Talking about the issue of the ‘CM go back’ campaign in Banavasi, Bommai said he is not bothered about a few people opposing him. Go Back campaign is normal, he said.
