Organ donation: Accident victim helps six patients

Manipal: The family of the accident victim decided to donate her organs after she was declared brain dead by the doctors.
Shilpa Madhava a resident of Byndoor was severly injured after she met with an accident on February 25 near Maravante.
Following the accident, she was admitted to KMC hospital. After she stopped responding to the treatment the doctors declared her brain dead. Her family gave their consent to donate her organs.
Reportedly, Shilpa’s organs will be transplanted into 6 patients in need.
