Mangaluru: Court convicts 5 persons in 2020 murder case

Mangaluru: Third additional district and sessions court convicted five persons accused of murdering a 75-year-old man in the year 2020 over a financial matter. The court will pronounce the quantum of punishment on March 3.
The convicted – Hamza (44), Azharuddin (27), residents of Malar Aksharanagara, Ameer Sheikh alias Ammi (26), Afraz Abdul Razak (20) and Athaullah alias Altaf, residents of Sajipanadu Kanchinadkapadavu had killed and buried the body of Palliabba alias Palliaka (75), a resident of Malar of Pavoor village.
On October 29, 2020 a missing complaint was lodged at Konaje police station about Palliabba. During course of the investigation, his body was recovered at Padavu in Ira village.
