Belthangady: One dead in car-bike collision

A 56-year-old man died on Tuesday after a Scorpio collided with his bike near the Nidigal cocoa plantation of Mundaje village on the Mangalore-Villupuram National Highway.

The deceased has been identified as Ashok Kumar (56), secretary of Mundaje Milk Producers’ Cooperative Society and a resident of Kelengi, Kalmanja village.

The incident occurred when the Scorpio traveling toward Mangalore collided with Ashok Kumar’s bike coming from the opposite direction.

The collision was so severe that Ashok Kumar suffered critical injuries and died in the hospital.
