Mangaluru: Police bust prostitution racket, arrest 50-yo woman

Mangaluru: Police arrested a 50-year-old woman for her alleged involvement in a prostitution racket on Tuesday, March 7.

The arrested identified as Rukiya is a resident of Bolanthur, Bantwal.

Acting on credible information police raided the residence near Pandith House in Permannur village and arrested Rukiya. Police also seized 3 two-wheelers, 9 mobile phones, and Rs 5000 in cash totally valued around Rs 1,76,580 during the raid.

Police said that another accused Latheef is absconding and efforts are on to nab him. Rukia was produced before a court.

The raid was conducted under the guidance of ACP Mangaluru South subdivision, Ullal police inspector Sandeep GS, PSI Manjula, and others.
