Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday consecrated the idols of Maa Kali, Lord Ganesh and Lord Bhairav at the newly constructed Shrikali Mata temple on the Gorakhnath temple’s premises in Gorakhpur.

Adityanath, who is the head of the Gorakhnathpeeth or the Gorakshpeethadhishwar, completed the ritual of consecration in the presence of 13 priests.

Following the completion of rituals, a ‘bhandara’ was organised, during which a large number of devotees were given ‘prasad’. Rituals leading to the consecration ceremony of the idols at the Shrikali Mata temple, located near the Goraknath temple’s ‘gaushala’, had begun a week ago.
