Subrahmanya: One killed, another injured in motorbike-bus accident

Sullia: A tragic road accident occurred near Subramanya in the taluk on Friday night, resulting in the death of a 27-year-old man.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh, a resident of Kallagudde in Subramanya.

According to reports, Ramesh and his friend were travelling on a bike from Kasargod to Subramanya when the incident took place.

The two were apparently attempting to overtake a Kerala state transport bus when the bike skidded and both riders were thrown onto the road. Ramesh sustained critical injuries in the fall, and despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he passed away on the way.

The pillion rider, however, managed to escape with minor injuries. The incident has since been reported to the Subramanya police station, where a case has been registered in connection with the accident.
