More than 20 people were injured on Monday morning when a private bus overturned on Bethura road on the outskirts of Davangere city. The bus was traveling from Davangere to Jagaluru when it hit a bridge near Elebethur and overturned.
Fortunately, most passengers escaped unhurt, but one passenger sustained serious injuries.
The incident occurred when the bus hit a bridge over a small ditch, causing it to overturn. The situation could have been far worse had the bus fallen off the bridge, potentially resulting in a major disaster.
Locals came to the rescue of the passengers, and the injured were quickly transported to the district hospital. Police visited the scene and conducted an investigation into the accident.
