Theft on Mangaluru-Mumbai Express train: Police nab two within 8 hours

Udupi: Manipal police have arrested two women in connection with the theft case on the Mangaluru-Mumbai Express train within eight hours of the incident and confiscated the stolen gold from their possession.
The arrested have been identified as Lalita Bhovi (41) and Sushilamma Bhovi (64), both are residents of Bhadravati.
The accused had stolen a vanity bag, containing gold jewellery from a family who had boarded the Mangaluru-Mumbai Express train on March 14. The value of gold is valued at Rs 4 lakh. A case has been registered in Manipal Police Station in this regard.
The accused are wanted in several theft cases, police said.
