Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai on Thursday said that former CM Yeddiyurappa is the “tallest leader” in reference to the ongoing political situation.

While addressing the reporters, Bommai denied any differences with Somanna and said that Yediyurappa and Sommana have a father-son relationship. He clarified that their party’s focus remains on winning the election.

Regarding the distribution of tickets to senior citizens, Bommai said that the decision will ultimately rest with the party. He also confirmed that the list of candidates for their party will be released soon.

On the issue of the forest fires in the Western Ghats, Bommai, said, ” Such fires are common during the summer season, but measures have been taken to extinguish and prevent further fires. The forest department, however, has yet to decide on the use of helicopters to aid in the fire-fighting efforts.”
