Sullia: Woman dies after rubber tapping knife pierces her chest

Sullia: In a tragic incident that occurred on Friday morning, a woman lost her life after a rubber-tapping knife accidentally pierced her chest.

The incident took place in Edamangala village of Kadaba taluk, where Geeta, a 37-year-old woman, was working in the rubber plantation with her husband Shivaram.

Geeta reportedly slipped on the slope while tapping rubber and the sharp knife she was holding in her hand pierced her chest, causing serious injuries. She succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

Geeta is survived by her husband, son, and daughter.

A case has been registered at the Bellare police station in this regard.
