Rainfall likely in south, north interior parts of Karnataka: IMD

Bengaluru: The south interior and north interior regions of the state including Bengaluru are likely to experience thundershowers in the next 24 hours, the IMD has predicted.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in north interior parts of Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppala, Raichur, Vijayapura, Yadgiri, and South Interior regions of Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagara, Chikkaballapura, Kodagu, Kolar, Mysuru, Ramanagara, and Tumakuru. The residents of Chikkaballapur and Kolar are warned of possible hailstorms.
Bengaluru may also experience light rainfall in the evening or night, according to the Meteorological Department.
The temperature in some parts of the coast is predicted to be 2 degrees Celsius higher than normal, and 3-4 degrees Celsius higher than normal in some parts of the northern interior, the IMD said.
