Hassan: Swasthishri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji no more

Hassan: Swasthishri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji of the Shravanabelagola Jain Mutt passed away due to illness.
The 73-year-old seer was keeping unwell for sometime now.
The swamiji had been appointed as the head of the Mutt in the year 1970.
He had been feted with the title of “Karmayogi” by Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1981 during her visit to the Mutt.
A large number of devotees are expected to visit to pay their homage to the seer.
Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji had made several contributions for the development of the society.
