Shirva: 44-year-old goes missing

Shirva: A 44-year-old man is reported missing since March 27, according to a complaint filed at the Shirva Police station.

The missing person has been identified as Shailesh K Prabhu, a resident of a rented house near the Bank of Baroda branch in Kuthyar. Shailesh worked as a school bus driver and as an autorickshaw driver part-time and had recently bought a rickshaw.

His wife Ambika Prabhu, in her complaint, said that Shailesh had left home at 9 am on March 27. When his wife called him after he failed to turn up for lunch that day, he had told her that he would return home after delivering food to a bank staff. However, there was no word from him thereafter.

The complaint said that his phone was ringing till 10 am on March 28 but thereafter it was switched off.

A case has been registered at Shirva police station.
