Annual SSLC examinations begin today

Udupi/Mangaluru:  The annual SSLC examinations will commence from today, with adequate measures taken to ensure the security of the examination centers and students in the twin districts. The first language test will be conducted on the first day of the examination, which will continue until April 15.

A total of 13,633 students from 270 schools in Udupi district have registered for the examination. Of these, 6,579 students are from government schools, 4,162 are from private schools, and 2,892 are from aided schools. The number of boys and girls appearing for the exam is 7,104 and 6,259, respectively. There are 55 examination centers in Udupi district.

Similarly, in the Dakshina Kannada district, 29,572 candidates have registered for the SSLC examination. A total of 98 examination centers have been identified in the district.

To ensure a smooth examination process, officers and invigilators have made seating arrangements in examination halls on Thursday.  Additionally, the registration numbers have been displayed on notice boards inside the examination centers for the convenience of the students.

To ensure the security of the examination centers, a police force has been deployed, and CCTV camera systems have also been set up. Arrangement for adequate water facilities has also been made for the students.

The district administration and the department have given instructions to the officers regarding the route through which the question paper should be taken from the treasury.
