BC Road: Fire breaks out near railway tracks; Thick blanket of smoke engulfs area

Team Udayavani, Apr 6, 2023, 3:52 PM IST

A fire broke out near the Brahma Sri Narayan Guru Circle of BC Road on Thursday, causing chaos and disruption in the area.

The flames were said to have originated from a pile of garbage lying on both sides of the road near BC Road railway tracks. However,  there is no clear information on how the fire started.

The road from BC Road to Nandavara had to be closed temporarily due to the thick smoke engulfing the area.

The fire brigade arrived on the scene and is currently working to douse the flames.

The incident attracted a crowd of hundreds of people, making it difficult for Bantwal Nagar police station SI Ramakrishna and his team to disperse the gathering.
