Chintamani: A trekking trip organised for students of Venur School in Srinivaspur taluk turned awry following a bee attack at Tapateshwara Hill in Chapur village on Monday.
Reportedly 80 students accompanied by their teachers visited Tapateshwara Hill for trekking. The bee attack injured 33 students and five teachers who were then admitted to the government hospital in Chintamani for treatment.
The cause for the bee attack may have been the extreme heat conditions or stones being thrown at the beehive.
