MLA Harish Poonja, Gurme Suresh Shetty file nominations

Thousands of people gathered to witness the submission of nomination papers of BJP candidate Harish Poonja, the sitting MLA.
Before submitting his papers, Poonja performed puja at Sri Somanatheshwara temple and then marched to Santhekatte. Several important leaders such as Harikrishna Bantwal, K. Pratapsimha Naik, Jayant Kotian, and Kushalappa Gowda were present at the occasion.
Similarly, Gurme Suresh Shetty, the BJP candidate from Kaup Assembly Constituency, filed his nomination papers on Monday, in the presence of thousands of supporters and well-wishers.
Before submitting his papers, Shetty offered prayers at Sri Lakshmi Janardhana temple and visited various other temples, including Kaup Shree Hale Marigudi Temple, Shree Hosa Marigudi Temple, Ellur Shree Vishweshwar Temple, and Kalattur Shree Mahalingeshwar Temple, to seek blessings.
Notable figures who participated in the procession included Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, Minister Kota Srinivasa Pujari, Sunil Kumar, BJP District President Kuiladi Suresh Naik, MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhatt, Udupi BJP candidate Yashpal Suvarna.
