A tragic accident in Bettadathavarekere village of Tarikere taluk claimed the lives of a couple while leaving two children seriously injured.
The incident occurred while the family was en route from Bangalore to Bhadravati for a family engagement event.
The deceased couple has been identified as Srinivas and Shweta, who died on the spot after their car collided with a tree. The two injured children were immediately taken to Shimoga Hospital for medical treatment.
A case has been registered.
