Puttur: 35-yo killed on spot, four others injured in bike-car collision

A 35-year-old man was killed on the spot while four others sustained injuries in a bike-car collision at Kalleri near Uppinangady in the taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Jaffar, a resident of Kalenjibailu near Moorugoli of Barya village.

As per reports, Jaffar and his children — Hafida (12) and Abeeda (8) were going towards Guruvayanakere when a car collided with their bike. The bike as well as the car fell into a roadside drain owing to the impact of the collision.

Jaffar died on the spot while his children and the car occupants sustained injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Sources said that the mishap took place as the car driver was coming in the wrong direction.

A case has been registered.
