Bengaluru: A letter, reportedly written by actor Darshan expressing his regret for hurting the media with harsh words has been going viral on social media.

The Challenging star has had one too many tiffs with TV and print media in the recent past following which media persons refrained from publishing any news on the actor barring news related to his movies.

As per reports, the said letter printed on the letterhead of Darshan has been sent to media offices wherein he has apologized for his bluntness.

So what is in the letter?

The letter (translated into English) states: “The Kannada cinema industry which has a glorious history of nearly 75 years has seen stalwarts such as Dr. Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Ambarish, Shankar Nag, Thoogudeepa Srinivas, Balakrishna, Dinesh and their contemporaries who continue to rule the hearts of people of Karnataka. The media too has accepted these actors and encouraged them. Coming from Thoogudeepa Srinivas’s family, I had also been welcomed into the film fraternity with the blessings of the media. I have been critically appraised when my performances had not been up to the mark and resultantly this helped me strive to pick good films and improvise the flaws in my acting.

In my personal life, I have hut media persons with my rash words and express regret for the same.

Life is very precious and short. Let’s smile and live happily till life lasts.

I request my fans, and friends to respect my sentiments.”
