Hubbali: Former chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday said that he had committed a big mistake by forming the Karnataka Janata Paksha (KJP) party for which he even apologized to the people of the state.

“I however did not join hands with Congress party like Jagadish Shettar,” the Bharatiya Janata Party Parliamentary board committee member told reporters here.

“We will succeed in defeating Jagadish Shettar. There is no forgiveness for his act. He has betrayed our party. There is no question of Shettar coming back to BJP,” Yediyurappa added.

Founded in 2012, the KJP was disestablished and merged with the Bharatiya Janta Party in 2014.
