K’taka polls: Amit Shah arrives in Udupi for election campaigning

Udupi: As the election date draws nears, high-profile political leaders are being called in to rally support in key constituencies. Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Udupi on Saturday to support the campaigning efforts of BJP candidates in the district.
BJP’s district leaders welcomed him at the helipad at Adi Udupi. District BJP president Kuilady Suresh Kumar, Udupi City Municipal Council president Sumitra R. Nayak, and former Chairman of Coastal Development Authority Mattar Ratnakar Hegde were present.
Amit Shah will participate in a convention at Katapady in the Kaup constituency. Thereafter, he would proceed to Siddapur of Byndoor for a road show.
As per the itinerary, Amit Shah is also scheduled to hold a roadshow at Mangaluru from 5 PM to 7 PM on Saturday.
