Praja Prabhutva Habba celebrated in over 58,000 constituencies ahead of K’taka assembly polls

The ‘Praja Prabhutva Habba’ (festival of democracy) was celebrated in over 58,000 polling booths across Karnataka on Sunday as part of the Election Commisison’s initiative to encourage voters to exercise their franchise.
In Bengaluru, the Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena along with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath went to the polling booths and hoisted flag, the CEO’s office said in a statement.
The state will go for assembly elections to 224 seats on May 10 and the counting will take place on May 13.
