In a worrying trend, another incident of stone pelting at a train has been reported. Stones were hurled at the recently launched Vande Bharat train in Kerala, Southern Railway officials said.

According to officials, the incident occurred between Tirunavaya and Tirur stations while the train was en route from Kasargod to Thiruvananthapuram.

The Southern Railway officials stated that no one was harmed, but one coach’s windshield was damaged.

The police have registered a case, and the railway authorities have decided to reinforce the train’s security.

Kerala’s first Vande Bharat train was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 25 at Thiruvananthapuram central station.
