Mangaluru: BJP leader Satish Prabhu joins Congress

Mangaluru: Senior BJP leader Satish Prabhu joined the Congress in Mangaluru on Sunday along with three others, Rajat R Kamath, Deeksha Kamath, and Santosh Shetty.
At a function held at the Congress district office, the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council B K Hariprasad welcomed them to the party by presenting the party flag.
Congress leaders and workers celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets.
B K Hariprasad also took the opportunity to take a jibe at the BJP, stating that it was a “sinking ship” and many of its leaders were joining the Congress like a “tsunami”. He added that 47 senior BJP leaders had joined the Congress and the JD(S) so far, including six members of the Legislative Council.
Further, Hariprasad expressed confidence that Congress was receiving unprecedented support from the people everywhere, and there was no doubt that it would form the government.
