Chikkamagaluru: Two people, including 3-yo killed in car-TT vehicle collision

Chikkamagaluru: Two persons, including a three-year-old, died on the spot after their car collided with a tempo traveler vehicle on National Highway 206 near Mathighatta cross in Kadur taluk on Thursday, May 11 morning.

The deceased have been identified as Giridhar (46) and Mayank (3).

It is gathered that Giridhar was travelling with his family to Honnavar to attend a relative’s wedding. However, their car collided head-on with a TT vehicle proceeding towards Chikkamagaluru from Kerala.

The TT vehicle overturned due to the impact of the collision. Seven of its occupants, of Kerala origin were injured in the mishap and have been admitted to a hospital in Shimoga. A case has been registered at Kadur police station.
