Mangaluru: Two persons were injured in a serial accident involving 3 city buses near the Hampanakatta signal in the city on Monday afternoon.

According to eyewitnesses, a bus en route from State Bank to Kunjathbail (route number 13), collided with the rear of a bus heading towards Talpady (route number 42). Subsequently, the Talpady-bound bus struck the back of the bus heading towards Neermarga (route no 21) in front of it.

The collision resulted in damage to all three buses involved. The Kunjathbail bus suffered damage to its front, while the rear and front windows of the Talapady-bound bus were shattered. The Neermaga bus also sustained damage to its rear portion.

The driver of the Kunjathbail bus and a female passenger seated across from the driver sustained injuries. Fortunately, the incident occurred during the afternoon when there was very low footfall, reducing the impact.

The traffic police promptly arrived at the scene, clearing the buses and ensuring smooth traffic flow.
