Suratkal: Fisherman drowns after his leg gets trapped in fishing net

Suratkal: A 46-year-old man died of drowning after his leg got caught in a fishing net here on Tuesday evening.

The deceased identified as Jayaraj was a fisherman.

Jayaraj’s leg got trapped in the net, at the same time a huge wave dragged him away, and he eventually drowned.

A fellow fisherman informed locals who managed to lift him.

Jayaraj was rushed to a hospital but he passed away.

The deceased is survived by his wife and daughter.
