Udupi: Family refuse to pay power bill citing Cong’s free power promise

Udupi: A photo of a letter written by a family refusing to pay electricity bill citing Congress manifesto, which had promised free power to voters has gone viral on social media networking sites.
Vasudeva Bhat Perampally has attached a letter under an electricity meter board and it has gone viral. In the letter he stated that he will not pay his current bill from June, citing the Congress Party’s promise of free electricity.
Many people are now discussing about not paying their electricity bills.
However, the Mescom Superintendent stated that they have not received any complaints regarding the refusal to pay electricity bills, and bills are being paid currently.
