Kadaba: A KSRTC sleeper bus on its way to Bengaluru was damaged in a wild tusker’s attack late on Thursday night.
The incident occurred at Anila near Kenjala on the Subrhmanya-Gundya state highway here.
The bus driver noticed the wild elephant waiting on the side of the highway and tried to evade its attack. However, the pachyderm gored the bus with its tusks.
The passengers were saved from danger, due to the driver’s presence of mind.
Subrahmanya Zone Forest Officer Raghavendra visited the spot and carried out an inspection.
