BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel urged the government to issue a white paper detailing the source of funds, their allocation, and the projected duration of the guarantee.
Speaking to the reporters, Kateel said, “We demand a comprehensive report within 24 hours to provide transparency on the source of funds, their allocation, and the projected duration of the guarantee. We also demand an explanation regarding the potential impact of this guarantee on private bus travel, particularly in the coastal districts. Also, the government must understand the pace of previous pension schemes and the current financial state of the treasury.”
“How will the government control these funds without imposing additional financial strain on the public?” he questioned.
He further said, “This guarantee should not be a mere election tactic. Were the guarantees announced in the light of the Taluk Panchayat and Gram Panchayat Members’ elections? We request the government to ensure that this project is implemented without burdening the people.”
