Kaup: Wild leopard sighted at Adamaru-Yermal

Kaup: A leopard has been reportedly sighted in Adamaru-Yermal-Moodabettu, causing concern among locals.
Locals said they have spotted the leopard prowling in the area for the past 2 nights. A person traveling on an auto rickshaw reportedly saw the big cat roaming near Moodabettu on Yermal-Adamaru road.
Based on eyewitness reports, locals informed the police and forest officials about the sightings. The officials visited the spot and conducted a search.
B Santhosh Shetty, a local, said the area where the leopard was spotted is frequented by school children. Thick bushes cover the area and people are afraid after the leopard sightings, he added.
