Chikkamagaluru: Odisha train mishap survivor dies of heart attack

A Kannadiga who miraculously escaped unhurt in the Odisha train accident died of a heart attack at the Mirzapur railway station in Uttar Pradesh.

The deceased has been identified as Dharmapalaiah (72), a resident of Kalakodu in Kalasa taluk.

He was among the 110 people from Kalasa who had traveled to Sammed Shikharji in Jharkhand in the Howrah Superfast Express. Luckily they escaped unhurt in the deadly train mishap.

However, Dharmapalaiah suffered a heart attack while on the return journey and breathed his last.

According to reports, his relatives are waiting for an autopsy at UP’s Mirzapur government hospital.
