Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has accused the Congress government in the state of setting a predetermined percentage for issuing LOC for projects executed during the previous BJP government’s tenure.

Kumaraswamy made these remarks while addressing reporters prior to attending an introspection meeting of Bengaluru city leaders at the party’s state office, JP Bhavan.

Kumaraswamy criticized the Congress government, stating that while they had previously criticized the BJP government as being a “40 percent government,” they now themselves were fixing rates for various activities after assuming power. He alleged that the current government had fixed a 5 percent rate for providing LOCs for projects initiated by the previous administration. He further questioned the credibility of those who talk about corruption while engaging in similar practices.

The former Chief Minister also claimed that he received information that a meeting involving officials had taken place at an early stage of the new government’s tenure, during which the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister issued specific instructions.
