Udayavani Exclusive: Bharath, Vedavyas and Ashok Rai share ambitious development plans!

In a recent interview at the Udayavani Mangaluru office, MLAs representing the constituencies of  Mangaluru South, Mangaluru North, and Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district engaged in a fruitful discussion about the development of their respective areas.

MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Dr. Bharath Shetty Y., and Ashok Rai presented their plans for the comprehensive progress of their constituencies.

A unanimous desire to combat corruption, provide efficient governance, and enhance employment opportunities prevailed among the three MLAs.

Vedavyas Kamath emphasized need for further development initiatives:

Kamath acknowledged the completion of numerous projects over the past five years and emphasized the need for further development initiatives. He pledged to secure the necessary approvals to implement projects such as the construction of a bus stand in Pumpwell, a housing complex in Shaktinagar, and a multi-level car parking facility in Hampankatte, all based on a public-private partnership (PPP).

Dr. Bharath Shetty aims to prevent erosion caused by sea drilling:

Bharath outlined his vision to protect the Suratkal coastline by proposing the construction of a T-groin. This innovative solution aims to prevent erosion caused by sea drilling. Furthermore, he expressed plans to upgrade the Suratkal health center into a community health center and take measures to revitalize the tourism sector, providing a new direction for the region.

Ashok Rai stressed the importance of establishing a medical college in Puttur:

Ashok Rai addressed the issue of underutilized land, highlighting a proposal to establish an animal hub on the vast 680-acre Koila Farm. This initiative seeks to optimize the potential of the land while boosting agricultural productivity. Additionally, Rai stressed the importance of establishing a medical college in Puttur, advocating for improved healthcare facilities in the area.

The discussion among the MLAs demonstrated their commitment to driving comprehensive development in their respective constituencies. With a focus on curbing corruption, delivering efficient governance, and promoting employment opportunities, the MLAs showcased their determination to create a prosperous and sustainable future for Mangaluru and its surrounding areas.
