3 dead, 3 critically injured as car rams into lorry on Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway

Ramanagara: A car rammed into a lorry on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway here on Wednesday killing 3 persons and injuring 3 others.

An accident took place near Devarahosalli village in Channapatna. The car, which was moving from Mysuru toward Bengaluru, rammed into the rear end of the lorry.

The car was reportedly trying to overtake another vehicle when the tragedy occurred.

A 13-year-old and a 20-year-old woman and the car driver are said to have succumbed in the accident. Three of the car’s occupants, who were seated in the back seat, reportedly sustained critical injuries and have been rushed to a local hospital.

Ramanagara SP Karthik Reddy, Channapatna traffic police visited the accident spot and conducted an inspection.
