Bantwal: Left home on my own accord, says woman reported as missing

A woman, who was reported as missing appeared before the city police and informed that she had left house of her own accord.

The woman, identified as Neha, a resident of Kasaba B village recorded a statement before police stating that she had decided to pursue her education and is residing at a PG for women at Kunjibettu Udupi. “I will be doing a job and pursuing studies,” her statement read.

Earlier on Wednesday, June 14 Neha’s brother had lodged a missing complaint with the police as there was no trace of the former. Neha had reportedly messaged her aunt mentioning that she is going to Bengaluru.

Police have conveyed Neha’s decision to her family members.
