Mangaluru: CCB police arrest one for peddling MDMA

Mangaluru: CCB police arrested a person on charges of peddling drugs and confiscated the banned synthetic drug MDMA from him.

The accused has been identified as Akshat Kumar (34), a resident of Bagambila in Deralakatte, Ullal.

According to police, the accused was nabbed in a raid based on credible information that drugs were being sold from a house in Bagambila.

About 72 grams of MDMA worth Rs 3.66 lakhs, a weighing scale, a mobile phone and cash were seized from his possession. The total value of seized goods is estimated to be Rs 4.17 lakhs, police added.

A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
