Chikkaballapur: A man allegedly sent morphed “obscene” photograph of a woman doctor to her father and relatives as she did not comply to his demand of ransom money.
The woman in her complaint said that she got a call asking her to return Rs 5,000 loan she had availed online. However as she had not taken any online loan, the victim refused to pay the amount. The caller then threatened to send her obscene photograph to her family and friends.
The doctor neglected the call and did not approach the police after which the man sent the photo to her father and relatives as well, the police said.
The police said that the photo has been taken from the social media and then morphed.
The police suspect that there is an organised gang behind the crime.
The woman doctor had told police that in the recent past, she had clicked on few applications but never availed any loan.
