Mangaluru police arrest 4 suspects in attempted murder case

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru North police have arrested 4 suspects in connection with the attempted murder incident that took place near Aloysius College in the city.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Tufail (20) resident of Kadri Mallikatte, Mohammad Afrid (19) resident of Neermarga, Maqsood Saag (21), and Abdul Sattar (19) resident of Bolar Mulihitlu.
Nilesh, a friend of the victim identified as Nidish filed a complaint with the police on Saturday about the assault.
It is alleged that on June 16, the minor accused, a resident of Kinnigoli Elinje contacted the victim, Nidish on Instagram asking him to come to a spot near Aloysius College for a discussion. Nidish came to the place with 2 of his friends while the minor accused arrived there in a car along with the 4 accused, police said.
The discussion soon turned into a brawl, and the four accused allegedly beat up Nidish, attacked him with a knife, and issued death threats. His friends were also physically assaulted.
After an investigation, police said they arrested the accused from an apartment near Kudupu Bythurli on Saturday evening.
